These drumsticks have been great! Solid wood, stronger than the Vic Firth and Promarks, slightly wider in diameter than the other brands I own, but I can deal with that.
In my personal opinion I feel they’re more for power and short sessions on the kit; someone with stronger wrists or arms will obviously say otherwise…
One thing that I love about them though is I feel because the wood used to produce them is so strong, they give the best rim shots out of all the sticks I own, even with the flam rim shots (oh my days, what a joy to hear).
One negative thing I’d say is that they’ve got a tiny glossy finish to them. In reference to my point earlier, I find that the drumsticks move around my grip when I’m playing for longer than 12mins.. my palms are dry, you see, and the longer I play, the sweatier they get, and that + the glossy finish don’t quite go well together for me. I like them with a dry finish so even if my palms get sweaty, I can still grip…
But that’s highly dependent on the drummer, to be fair.
