Jesutofunmi Ajayi, popularly known as @coachtoph, is the Associate Director of Information Management and Security at a non-profit military research organization, with a diverse background that spans technology, music, and nonprofit leadership. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he grew up as a pastor’s kid and began his career as a church musician. This early experience inspired him to establish @havennetworkafrica Musician Initiative, an NGO dedicated to nurturing the emotional, mental, and financial wellness of musicians across Africa.
After moving to the United States in 2016, CoachToph pivoted into technology in 2018, quickly making his mark in IT with expertise in systems analysis, network engineering, project management, and cybersecurity. In his early IT roles, he provided critical support during the COVID-19 response, implementing remote access and virtual desktop infrastructure solutions, and went on to manage network and server infrastructure with a focus on performance and security optimization.
Currently, Coachtoph oversees the security and stability of information systems and network infrastructure. He holds certifications in CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), ITIL Service Management, and Certified Network Security Specialist and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
